Lambeth Wind Orchestra has had a busy year of music-making. Details of some of our past performances and future ones are below. 11th May 2010: We return to Fairfield Halls, Croydon for another lunchtime concert 8th May 2010: Our main Spring Concert will be held at All Saints’, West Dulwich and will include Grainger’s ‘Lincolnshire Posy’ 21st March 2010: Southbank Centre LWO will be performing John Holland’s ‘Ride or Die’ as part of the Southbank Centre’s Leonard Bernstein project. We will be collaborating with Norwood School in this exciting piece based on the themes addressed in ‘West Side Story’ Previous events this year have included: 17th December 2009: community Christmas concert at St Paul’s Church Hall 12th December 2009: Dulwich Ukelele Club 3rd December 2009: Sainsbury’s Christmas Fair (for Kids Company), Holborn 31st October 2009: impromptu performance at the Herne Hill Expo event 24th October 2009: hugely successful ‘Suites and Serenades’ concert, raising funds for Changing Faces charity August 2009: bandstand concerts in Ruskin Park, Myatt’s Fields and Southwark Park 19th July 2009: took to the Village Green stage at the Lambeth Country Show, Brockwell Park 25th June 2009: played to a packed house at the Herne Hill Apollo Project (not many wind bands can follow a rock band, but LWO can!)
